Care Guide

A Refined Wardrobe Deserves Proper Care

At EDMOND GREY, we believe a refined wardrobe deserves proper care. With the right attention, your garments will maintain their shape, colour and quality for longer. This guide is designed to help you care for your pieces with ease and confidence.

Washing

To preserve the quality of your garments, always wash them inside out at a maximum of 30°C with similar colours. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh cleaning products, as these may damage the fabric or affect the colour.

For best results, choose a gentle washing cycle and avoid overloading the washing machine. This allows your garments to move freely and helps reduce unnecessary wear.

Drying

We recommend allowing your garments to air dry naturally. Avoid tumble drying, as heat can cause shrinkage, fading or damage to the fabric structure.

After washing, gently reshape the garment while damp and lay it flat or hang it to dry, depending on the item. Keep garments away from direct sunlight to help preserve their original colour.

Ironing

Iron your garments inside out on a low to medium temperature when needed. Avoid applying direct heat to prints, delicate details or textured fabrics.

For a cleaner finish, slightly damp garments can be easier to iron. Always check the care label before using higher temperatures.

Storing Your Garments

Store your garments in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Shirts and trousers can be neatly hung to maintain their shape, while knitwear and polos are best folded to prevent stretching.

Avoid overcrowding your wardrobe, as this can cause creasing and affect the natural shape of your garments.

Knitwear & Polos

Knitwear and polos require extra care to preserve their fit and structure. We recommend folding these items instead of hanging them, as hanging may cause the fabric to stretch over time.

Wash gently, avoid tumble drying and allow them to dry naturally. Reshape while damp if needed.

Linen Care

Linen is a natural fabric known for its breathable feel and refined texture. To preserve its quality, wash linen garments inside out at a maximum of 30°C with similar colours and use a mild detergent.

Avoid tumble drying, as heat may cause shrinkage and affect the natural structure of the fabric. Let linen garments air dry naturally and gently reshape them while damp.

Linen naturally develops creases during wear. This is part of its character. For a cleaner look, iron inside out on a low to medium temperature while the fabric is still slightly damp.

Store linen garments in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, to help preserve their colour and texture.

Final care note

Every garment benefits from thoughtful care. By washing gently, drying naturally and storing properly, you help extend the life of your wardrobe and preserve the refined appearance of your EDMOND GREY pieces.
